Our Annual Family Reunion was held at Uncle Larry's house this year. He has created a "park" as they call it in their background by the river. It was so pretty and serene. But with water also comes bugs---and they were LOUSY! But it was so much fun, we didn't care much! Some came and camped over the night before and then we had a luncheon potluck feast all together. It was really nice to see everyone we hadn't seen since last year! And the food, of course, was wonderful!

After lunch, we then had a large "family water fight!" The side of the house was the "Safe Zone" where you could stay dry and non-harassed but the rest of the yard was free game! Most everyone got at a squirt or two and a lot were drenched through and through. It lasted quite some time and was pretty fun.

The funniest part was watching Hayden try to participate. He first used water-filled 2 liter bottles and poured them on people's feet, mostly his mom's! Then he saw that most were using weaponry. His gun of choice was as big as he was and, filled, it was as heavy as he was. And, being a two year-old, he wanted to "do it myself!" The look on his face was priceless as he tried to squirt people with the "big gun!"

(Just because it was cute, I'm adding this one picture I took during the reunion... )
Hayden LOVES horses! When he wasn't shooting someone with a squirt gun, he was admiring the horses. He always acts so breath-taken when he sees a "real" horse! It's cute.
We finished off the festivities with a round of championship hoola-hooping. Loa makes them herself of all different sizes and boy are they steady! The highest "hooper" was at 700+ revolutions before stopping!! Congrats, Dean!

This year's reunion was so much fun! It takes a LOT of planning and work and money, but a huge "THANKS!" goes out to Larry and Loa and everyone else who had a hand in it! See y'all next year! :)
