Cupcakes with Grandma

Adee, Kenna and Bryn came to Idaho to visit for a few weeks this month. We went to see them and they made cupcakes with Grandma and Jamie. We got to see Bryn's magic of standing alone without HER even knowing it! Yay Bryn! It was Jessie H's Bday and mom and Jamie decorated her car at school. The picture above is of Grandma and Jamie trying to get the makeshift parachute to work on the back of her car. It never really got off the ground and flew like we wanted, but it was fun to try. Jess drove up and down the street and boy was it a valiant effort! So fun! It's hard to have family so far away, but its nice when they can come visit!

Spring is coming

I saw this bush FILLED with singing birds walking the other day. Look close and you'll see them too! It was such a huge sign to me that spring will actually come! So smile and know that it will be warm again! :)

Williams family weekend

Family sibling picture
We had a makeover by Shelly's girls.
Mike's family--(except Danielle and Jason)

Shelly and girls (Vic and Johnny not pictured)
Bride of honor!
Ginger and girls. I wonder where they got their good looks! Oh! Grandma!!!

It was a good weekend to see family we haven't seen in a very long time---especially to see everyone under the same roof. It's so fun to see the family growing!

Home Depot project Saturday

This last home depot project was a planter box. They were fun and very fast to put together! (My idea of a GREAT project for kids!) We then went outside and picked out some flowers for them. They work so well! Now we just have to remember to water them so they don't die! Another addition made to improve our home's beauty! Thanks boys!

Finally Dawson's 4 front teeth GONE

BEFORE & AFTER PICS (above)

Dawson is a scaredy cat when it comes to anything oral/mouth/teeth/dentist! The top front teeth have been our latest challenge. Since I had really icky top front teeth, I felt especially anxious to have them out so the permanent teeth would not be knocked off alignment when growing in because of a baby tooth still in place. So yes... I pressured him to get them out. I told him that if he didn't get them out, I'd take him to a dentist; have them numb him and get it pulled out. The very night that I threatened that, he pulled them out. He so very much loves the Tooth Fairy, he's discovered. He made quite a haul! Good job, Dawson! He's losing them in the same order they grew in so far--2 by 2!

Utah weekend

I have recently taken a leave of absence from work. I was able to attend some family things I wouldn't have been able to because I was scheduled to work. So this weekend, Gary and I (NO KIDS!!) "bummed" a ride with Janet and went to West Jordan for a bridal shower for our niece, Caitlin. (Gary, of course opted to go to Cabelas!) We found out a lot of cool news... 3 nieces expecting babies in the fall/winter times and another niece planning a wedding in August!

[For a little explanation of a few pictures below... I feel it my aunt-ly and professional nurse's duty to provide educational items for brides-to-be within my family care circle. They usually end up causing some "shock and awe" from moms and grandmas in attendance.]

The shower only began our fun! After visiting in length with family, we went to "The Mayan" for dinner together. The Mayan chief himself even came to see how our food was! There was a cool thunder storm before every diving show where the lights flickered and the very real sound effects left you gazing up for expected rain. The food was equally as great! We zoomed home and cleaned the church before meetings that morning. Thanks Janet, Mike and Donna for your help! We couldn't have done it so fast without you!!!
And THANK YOU JAMIE AND GRANDMA for keeping the kids so we could have a weekend without 3 lively munchkins! :)

Jena trusts again

Jena actually trusted me AGAIN to ruin her hair with permanent color! She brought her own color this time, telling me "JC liked this one." I thought it was pretty but warned her that going dark red might be a disaster in the making! She opted to continue. After puting the coloring on, I could see that it was going to do what MINE has done which is suck all the red coloring in first and leaving anything else to be washed out. So needless to say, she had some really orange roots and darker orange tips. I texted Danielle, my brilliant niece in cosmotology school right now. Here's what it said: HELP! With a picture of Jena bending her head over to show the roots. After some suggestions, we had it turn out not so bad... darker but appropriately red. It looks good! Not to say that I can't make hair coloring look good, just that doing it in the hands of experienced professionals isn't a bad idea! :) Thanks for letting me experiment again, Jena! :)

Gary's Fogie party

I'm always teasing Gary that he's the old one (because he is) in our family. Last week, we went to dinner at Sizzler, with family and friends. We were also celebrating Janet's birthday, which is the next day! We had dinner then cake and ice cream at our house afterwards. Its always nice to visit with those that love you, or at least put up with you long enough to get cake! :) Happy Birthday, Gary! I can't wait until NEXT year!!! The big 4-0!
